When a customer requests that you send them all data you have about them from a service, platform, database etc. GDPR refers to this as a “data subject” request. When this request occurs, some of that data may be held in Mobi2Go.
You will have to ensure you fulfil the same request with all systems your business uses (e.g. POS, sales, payment gateway, marketing, etc.)
As a business owner, you have to vigilant to fulfil this request & we here at Mobi2Go are here to help you through this process. Here a few things you can check, prior to coming to us:
- Confirm the customer's request - you need to be sure that the customer is who they say they are & that they do want this request fulfilled
- Ask the customer to respond - ask them to reply to your confirmation via the email address or phone number that you the business, should have on file. (Alternatively your business may have a more robust process to confirm customer requests.)
- Pass the request onto Mobi2Go - once your customer has confirmed, please contact our Support team with details about the customer and request that they would like all of the information that exists in Mobi2Go. We will CC in the customer to the communication, so that the process is 100% transparent.
Once it's lodged with our Support team, we’ll follow up with all the data this customer has in Mobi2Go where you can then pass onto the customer who has submitted the request.
