Ensuring your MOBI Printer uses the latest version

Making sure your systems are up-to-date, whether its your phone or your computer, is key to maintaining it's longevity & ability to be a useful tool or resource. 

Systems within your business are no different, especially when it could cause disruptions to the efficiency and or effectiveness of your staff & being able to serve your customers to the best of your ability.

That's why it's important that every now & then, you take a few moments out of your day to check for updates with your technology, from your POS system to your MOBI Printer.


Update your MOBI Printer

To ensure your MOBI Printer runs the latest version, follow this process:

  • Turn your MOBI Printer off (the power switch at the back)
  • Turn it back on
  • When starting up you should see the following Select a home app screen
  • If you don't see that screen skip to If there was no "Select a home app" screen below, otherwise continue
  • Select MobiGo Printer vXX and tap Always


Once your MOBI printer has started up

  • Tap Options
  • Tap Device settings
  • Tap Check for updates
  • If there is an update available tap Update now and follow the prompts to install

Let's check you'll stay on the latest version

  • Turn your MOBI Printer off
  • Turn it back on
  • This time you won't see a Select a home app screen
  • Tap Options
  • Tap Device settings
  • Tap Check for updates and it should say you're up to date


If there was no "Select a home app" screen

Let's check what version you're on first. 

  • Tap Options
  • Tap Device settings
  • Below Check for updates it'll say your version number
  • If it's on a version higher than version 23, tap Check for updates and follow the update process (above)
  • If it's on version 23 then please follow the steps in the video below:
